Mr. Donald L. Lunceford of Slocomb passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 at his home. He was 56.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19 at Old Rock Springs Cemetery in Calera, AL with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Mr. Lunceford was born June 21, 1959 in Calera AL to the late David Glen and Helen Goodwin Lunceford. He was a loving husband, devoted father and he worshiped his grandchildren. Donald possessed a outgoing spirit, had a great sense of humor and will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, his first wife and mother of his children, Susan Collum Lunceford; his brother, David Michael Lunceford and his niece Amber Nicole Tate preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Lunceford, Slocomb; two sons: Donald Glenn Lunceford (Jennifer), Montana and Justin Lee Lunceford (Dana), Montevallo; two step-children: Amanda Marie Reynolds (Justin), Shorterville and Billy Ray Maddox, Slocomb; siblings: Sharon Layton (Clyde), Montevallo, Carolyn Lunceford, Montevallo, Paulette Shelton (Gary), Titus, Marlene Cross (Leon), Montevallo, Kay Reed (David) Montevallo and Larry Lunceford (Brenda), Wesgufka; seven grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
