Mrs. Annie Lee Enfinger Riley passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022. She was 83. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Hartford First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Messer officiating. Burial will follow in the Hurricane Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 

The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time. 

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Mrs. Riley. 

Mrs. Riley was born October 8, 1939 in Hartford to the late James Carlton and Frances Louise Haisten Enfinger. Annie Lee was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and child of God. She was a long-time faithful member of Hartford United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible study for many years. She also worked with Outreach to shut-ins in more recent years. Annie Lee was a retired Geneva County Elementary School teacher. She taught for 20 years and loved her students. Annie Lee loved her family and friends but most of all she loved the Lord Jesus and wanted everyone to know him as their savior. She will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew Mrs. Riley. 

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Joe Riley; two sons: Joseph Riley (Debbie), and David Riley (Stephanie); grandchildren: Jessica Jordan (Ryan), Jack Riley (Stephanie), Noah Riley (Catherine), and Erica Spears; great grandchildren: Jayleigh, Jude, and Jameson Jordan, and Everlee Riley; brother, Carl Enfinger (Joy); aunts, cousins, several nieces, nephews, and close family friends.
