Mr. Johnny C. Dean of Taylor passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at his home.  He was 73. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb. Interment will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time. 

Mr. Dean was born March 21, 1949 in Geneva County to the late Mary Johnson Craddock and B.C. Dean. Johnny owned and operated Graceville Bingo, enjoyed being outdoors, and spending time with his family.  He will be dearly missed. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Seay. 

Survivors include his children: Jawania Steege (James), Dothan, Jonathan Dean (Jessica), Eufaula, and Jeff Dean, Eufaula; several grandchildren; brothers: David Dean, James Wesley Dean (Edna), Danny Dean (Samantha), JR Dean (Paula), and Bruce Dean; many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends along with his work family.

I drove a truck for Johnny Dean 3 yrs in Dothan in the 90's. He was a riot to work with. He always made sure the oysters he got us from McAllisters on Fri afternoon were good n salty and iiiiice cold. Rest In Peace Johnny Dean . I hope they have Natural Lite in Heaven...
