Robbie Jean Odom

Mrs. Robbie Jean Odom of Hartford passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at her home. She was 82. 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Chaplain Adam Carlee officiating. Burial will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 2:00 p.m. and continuing until service time. 

Mrs. Odom was born September 6, 1938 in Jackson County, FL to the late Barry and Betsy Haddock Grissett. Robbie was loved by so many and her unselfish ways proved it. She would always make sure that everyone had what they wanted or needed before thinking of herself. To know her was to love her and she loved everyone. Robbie’s pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Odom loved her Lord and Savior and enjoyed reading her bible. 

In addition to her parents, husband, JD Odom; daughter, Kathy Calhoon; step-daughter, Linda Pursley; step-son, Jimmy Odom; infant sister, Betty; and brothers: Thomas Grissett and Ronnie Grissett, all preceded her in death. 

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Fountain (Bobby); sons: Tony Odom (Anita), Steve Odom, and Danny Odom; 16 grandchildren; sister, Mary Ellen Spurlock; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
