Martha Ann Whitaker

Mrs. Martha Ann Whitaker of Bonifay, FL passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Gulf Coast Medical Center. She was 75. 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Rev. Mitch Johnson and Rev. Tim Dean officiating. Burial will follow in the Fadette Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 2:00 p.m. and continuing until service time. 

Mrs. Whitaker was born July 25, 1945 in Bainbridge, GA to the late Milton Deloyd and Martha Alice Drew Faircloth. She worked in the restaurant industry for many years and had an outgoing personality. Martha never met a stranger and her customers were like her family. She lived in Bonifay for the past 40 years where she attended Winterville Assembly of God Church. She will be dearly missed by her lap dog, Trixie and her three horses. Mrs. Whitaker loved her family and always loved telling jokes. She will be dearly missed. 

In addition to her parents, two brothers: Jimmy Faircloth and Milton Deloyed Faircloth; one sister, Nancy Astrita, all preceded her in death. 

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Millard Whitaker; daughters: Pam Bailey (Richard), Nan King (Ricky), and Sherri Whitaker; sons, Steven L. Whitaker; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters: Margie Vaughn (Freddie), and Barbara Faircloth; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
