Mrs. Cynthia “Cindy” Parker of Malvern went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Flowers Hospital.  She was 77. 

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Malvern Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Grandstaff officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 

Mrs. Parker was born February 26, 1943 in Dale County to the late Lester and Mandy Hollis Thomley.  Cindy enjoyed reading novels and “thrifting”.  She was a faithful servant of Christ who loved her Lord and her church family at Malvern Baptist Church.  She was a loving wife, an adoring mother and grandmother and will be profoundly missed! 

In addition to her parents, three sisters: Joyce Avant, Judy McClendon, and Billie Grace Burbank; and a nephew, Kenneth “Kenny” Avant all preceded her in death. 

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Hosea Parker, sons: Andy Parker (April), Robert Parker (Shalane), and Eddie Parker (Amy); grandchildren: Emma-Kate Parker and her fiancé Jonathan, Trevor Parker, Katelyn Nasworthy (Brian), Jillian Parker, and Dalton Parker; great granddaughters: Mackenzie Nasworthy and Aubrey-Lynn Parker; brother, Donny Thomley (Debbie); many nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.
