Wallace Community College. She worked for 26 years as an LPN in area hospitals and nursing homes and retired from SAMC on June 1, 1990. Carolyn was a member of St. Paul UMC since June of 1953 when she married the love of her life, Lawrence Dean. She served as pianist and organist since 1953 and taught Sunday School for several years. She took care of the flowers in the yard and helped her husband cut the church yards. Carolyn organized a “Feed the Hungry” program at the church and served in various positions in the church. Her first love was the Lord, second her family, friends, and the church. She enjoyed serving others.
