Mr. Charles E. Dye of Wicksburg passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Extendicare in Dothan.  He was 85. 

Mr. Dye was born October 21, 1932 in Covington County to the late Oscar and Pearl Adams Dye.  He was the youngest of six children. Mr. Dye graduated from Opp High School, and served in the Army during the “Korean Conflict” in 1951 & 1952.  He worked in Aircraft Maintenance at Fort Rucker until his retirement and greatly enjoyed living in Southeast Alabama.  In addition to his parents and siblings, both of his wives, Carolyn Carnley Dye of Crenshaw County and Donnie Gainey Dye of Jackson County, FL all preceded him in death.   In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Dye was cremated. A “Reception of Friends” will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018 between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. at Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb.
