Mr. James Raleigh Dunn of Lake Butler, FL passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2017 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb. Burial will follow in the New Teamon Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time.

Mr. Dunn was born February 18, 1953 in Polk County, FL to the late Rudolph and Doris Farmer Dunn. He was an avid outdoors man who loved to fish and hunt. One of his favorite past times was sitting on the front porch telling stories with his family and friends. He was a stern yet loving father and grandfather who will be dearly missed. 

In addition to his parents, his brother, Jerry Dunn preceded him in death. 

Survivors include four daughters: Chandra Alexander, Rincon, GA, Heather Porfiriadis (Stephen), Starke, FL, Charlene Dunn, Worthington Springs, FL and Shelly Colbert (Chad), South Carolina; three sons: Jamie Dunn (Summer), Ozark, AR, Gary Dunn, and Christopher Oliver (Jennifer) both of Dardanelle, AR; seventeen grandchildren and one great-grandson; two sisters: Teresa Mills (Bear) and Joyce Jenkins (Thomas), both of Bartow, FL; one brother, Steve Dunn (Debbie), Winter Haven, FL; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
