Mrs. Eunice Hodges Snell of Slocomb went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.  She was 100 years old. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Rev. Lee Chorn officiating.  Interment will follow in the Whitaker Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home one hour prior to service time. 

Mrs. Snell was born December 2, 1923, in Geneva County to the late Lee and Vassie Andrews Hodges. Eunice was a great woman of faith and was devoted in her service to Christ.  She was a loving mother and adoring grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. 

In addition to her parents, her husband of 70 years, Millard Cecil Snell; son, Cecil L. Snell; siblings: Louverne Armstrong, Bill Hodges son-in-law, Leroy Bush, preceded her in death. 

Survivors include daughter, Bettie S. Bush; daughter-in-law, Judy Snell; four grandchildren:  Susan Warren (Parks), David Bush (Michelle), Chris Bush (Christy), Ron Snell (Kim); sisters: Margie Williams, and Martha Dobbs; 11 great grandchildren:  Steven, Sarah (Quinton), Carter, Ben (Anna), Lanie, Caitlan (Nick), Magen (Grant), Annamarie (Jarrod), J. P., Mack, Callie; several great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
