It is with a heavy heart and much love that we announce the loss of Patty Ann Farrar, of Hartford, AL on Friday August, 28 2021 at the age of 68 years old.

The receiving of family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb, AL with Rev. Glen Tate officiating.

Patty was born August 15, 1953 in Russellville, AL to the late Herman Montgomery and Carolyn Sue Fuller Garrett. At a young age she moved to Zion, IL and while in high school she met the love of her life Kerry and had her only child Christopher. Eventually they headed south to the small town of Hartford Alabama where they settled down and called it home.  Her zest for life and her infectious laugh made people want to know her and when she made friends they usually turned into "family".  Her smile could light up a room and you always knew it was her by the soft glow of her pink cheeks.  She loved the Lord with all her heart and when she said I will be praying for you there was no doubt that she meant it was going up for you with sincerity and faith it would be answered.   During her favorite times of the year fall and winter you could usually find her on the front porch with a good book in her hand, enjoying her swing or a bonfire.  She had a passion for music ranging from country, pop, or gospel and was a great cook and dessert maker. Patty will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Patty will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 50 years Kerry J. Farrar. Her son Christopher (Kim) Farrar, Vernon, FL.  Her grandsons Bryce (Emily) Farrar and future great granddaughter Layla Kate, Chipley, FL; Hunter (Devin) Farrar and great grandsons Cooper, Brantley, and RJ Farrar and a great granddaughter Aubree Bell, Vernon, FL; her mother Carolyn Fuller Garrett, Hartford, AL; Her sisters Carol (Don) Aplin Hartford, AL and Vanessa (Chris) Lukers Pensacola, FL;  Her brother Jim (Tammy) Garrett, Graceville, FL; She also was a loving Aunt to several special nieces and nephews Briana Aplin, Warren (Nikki) Aplin, Garrett (Lacey) Daniels, Aleia and Evan Aplin, Tracy Duvall, Tina Clement including a great-great nephew Anakin Don.

She was preceded in death by her brother Stacy Garrett
