Mrs. Ann Trimnel Myers of Slocomb passed away suddenly but peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at her home. She was 84.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Dr. J. Chris Adams and Rev. Lee Chorn officiating. A private interment will be held in the New Teamon Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 10:30 a.m. and continuing until service time.

 

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the New Teamon Baptist Church Cemetery fund, 3813 South County Road 85, Slocomb, AL 36375.

 

Mrs. Myers was born November 19, 1935 in Geneva County to the late James and Vassie Reeder of the New Teamon community in Slocomb, where Ann was a long-time resident. She worked as an administrative assistant for over 25 years at Air Products, Inc. in Dothan. Since her retirement, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In recent years, Ann has been an active member and pianist for Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Slocomb.

 

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Anita Nicole Trimnel; husband of 43 years, George Trimnel; son, George Michael Trimnel; brother, James Manuel Reeder, and second husband of 15 years, Herman Myers.

 

Survivors includer her daughter, Carla Trimnel Adams (Chris); son, Carlton Mark Trimnel; granddaughters: Haley Trimnel Lock (Shai), and Hannah Adams Hendrix (Naethan); grandsons: Kristopher Adams (Shelby), and Joshua Adams (Kaley); nine great-grandchildren; as well as many special friends and loved ones.
