Mrs. Sherrilyn Avery Moore of Dothan passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Flowers Hospital. She was 72.  

Graveside service will be held at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2016 in the Slocomb City Cemetery. 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.  

 

Mrs. Moore was born February 9, 1944 in Geneva County. Sherrilyn was a loving and adoring wife, mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to her flower garden and fishing in the family pond.  She took great joy in the time she had with her family and treasured family vacations, especially trips to the Great Smokey Mountains.

 

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelli Babb and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Avery. 

 

Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Billy D. Moore, Bay Springs Community; one daughter, Marsha Watson (Ronnie Smothers), Prattville; one son, Kyle Babb, Dothan; step-daughter, Janet Lipscomb (Lance), Foley; two brothers: Teddy Avery(Sheila), Rehobeth and Charles Avery (Pamela), Pensacola, FL; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
