Joy E. McMicken of Ramer, AL formerly of Hartford went home to be with the Lord Monday, December 27, 2021 at Crenshaw Community Hospital in Luverne, AL. She was 55.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021 in the Ramer Cemetery, Ramer, AL. with Rev. J. Robert McMicken officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
Joy was born April 5, 1966 in Birmingham, AL to Rev. J. Robert McMicken and Mary L. Kemp McMicken. As it is with a minister’s family, she had lived in various locations in AL which include Hartford and Geneva before relocating to the Montgomery area some 20 years ago. She was one of God’s special angels. God knew when he gave Joy to Bro. McMicken and Mrs. Mary that her time spent here on earth would be with unconditional love and affection from her parents. Joy will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her parents, Rev. J. Robert McMicken and Mary L. Kemp McMicken, Montgomery and her brother, James Tracy McMicken (Sue), Montgomery.
