Mr. Tommy Eugene McCollough, a cherished lifelong resident of Malvern, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the age of 80.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Malvern Baptist Church Cemetery, with Lance Griffin and Rev. Hosea Parker officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
In memory of Tommy, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Wiregrass Hope Group in lieu of flowers.
Born on September 7, 1945, in Houston County to the late Carl and Doris McCollough, Tommy served with honor in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He dedicated much of his life to serving at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, where he most recently served as a greeter in the Fitness Center, cultivating many meaningful friendships. A devoted member of the church, he was also an active participant in the men’s Sunday School Class.
Tommy is survived by his loving brother, Jerry W. "Pete" McCollough and his wife Yvonne; his niece, Lavonda Lee Gosselin (Andy); his nephew, Chip McCollough (Donna); and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers from Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate support during this time. Tommy’s memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
