Marjorie Faye Johnson

It is with great love and deep sadness that we share the passing of Marjorie "Margie" Faye Johnson, affectionately known as “Nana”, on October 14, 2025 at the age of 82. To everyone who knew her, Margie was the kindest, most caring person—a gentle soul whose warmth could fill any room.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Wicksburg Assembly of God Church with the Reverend Benny Lindsey officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time.

Margie lived her life with grace and endless compassion. She always had time to listen, a smile to share, and a way of making everyone feel special. Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Margie will be remembered for her loving heart, her patience, and her unwavering faith in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her kindness touched everyone she met, leaving a legacy of love that will continue to guide us.

Margie is preceded in death by her husband Earl Johnson, parents Verne and Sadie Gilley, brother Randall Gilley, and sister Eura Harrell. She is survived by her sons Tony (Michelle) Johnson and David Johnson, grandchildren Courtney (Jordan) Dow, Brady (Madison) Johnson, and Aunna Johnson, great-grandchildren Hunter, Walker, and Turner Dow, Rowen Johnson, sisters Betty Sue Gilley, Martha Dykes, and Diane Jones, brother Pete Gilley, and several nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her memory.

In lieu of flowers, our Nana would like everyone to attend church on Sunday morning.
