Ms. Kristie Jean Metcalf of Wicksburg went home to be with the Lord, Friday, August 29, 2014. She was 38. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 1, at Goodwater Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Lunsford officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

 

Kristie was born January 14, 1976 in Houston County, AL. She was a devoted and loving mother and daughter. Kristie recently dedicated her life to Christ, was baptized and joined Goodwater Free Will Baptist Church. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed. 

 

She was preceded in death by her two grandfathers: Luther Smith and Marcus Segars.

 

Survivors include three sons: Luther Dewayne Brazell, Kenneth Dylan Brazell and Jack Tyler Metcalf all of Wicksburg; parents: Kenneth and Imogene Segars, Wicksburg; grandmothers: Robbie Brown and Annie Jewel Segars, both of Wicksburg; brother, Chris Speigner, his wife Brenda and their daughters, Savannah and Hannah, Wicksburg; aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family and friends.
