Mr. Winston Churchill Howell, a lifelong resident of Hartford, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025 at Hartford Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was 83.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 6, 2025 at Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Hartford, Alabama (Black Road) with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
In lieu of flower, contributions may be made to Geneva County High School Track and Field, 301 Lily Street Hartford, AL 36344, Phone # 334-588-2923.
Winston was born on Thursday, January 22, 1942, in Hartford, Alabama to the late T.B. and Jennie Mae Cobb Howell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Dorothy J. Howell Estes; a brother, James Franklin Howell; and nephew, Christopher S. Howell.
Survivors include nieces: Beverly Estes (David), Loretta Estes Spainhoward, Linda Howell Cherry; nephews: Bobby Mitchell Estes (Debbie), Mike Estes (Denise); sister- in- law, Patricia Owens Howell; step-nephew, Steve Owens, and numerous other extended family and friends.
