Mrs. Wanda Barron, of Slocomb, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at her home. She was 63.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, in the Chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Reverend Lee Chorn officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. Interment will follow at New Teamon Baptist Church in Slocomb.

Family will receive friends starting at 10:00AM and continuing until service time.

Mrs. Barron was born September 21, 1961, in Hillsborough County to the late Dwight L. and Wilma Lee Glisson Ryals. Wanda was employed at Ali Motion for 38 years. She enjoyed camping, shopping, and love spending time with her family and friends, especially her granddaughter, Lacey. She was an avid Alabama Fan and is now shouting “Roll Tide” from Heaven.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, David Barron; daughter, Deanna Yeoman Spivey (Tony); son, Dustin Yeoman; granddaughter, Lacey Mae Spivey; sister, Kathy Conner (Paul); brother, Dwight L Ryals, Jr. (Mickey); numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

I was so saddened to hear of Wanda's passing. I have many good memories of the fun we had goofing off, listenig to music and dancing in the livving room while I lived her family. She will truly be missed by so many. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during your time of sorrow.
