Tuesday, December 5, 1961 - Sunday, November 10, 2024
Ramona Danene Taylor, 62, of Elba, AL, went to be with Jesus Sunday, November 10, 2024.
A Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, November 16 at 11:00 AM at Faith Lighthouse Church, 3409 Paul Buchman Hwy, Plant City, FL. Family and friends are then invited to the home of Josh and Lauren Jordan immediately following the service.
Ramona was born on December 5, 1961, at South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City, FL.
Ramona received her Associate of Science degree in Nursing from Central Florida Community College – Ocala Campus in May, 1988, and worked as an RN in several area health facilities including South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City. Her caring spirit was evident in all she did…not just in her professional career, but in everyday life. She was down to earth and not afraid to venture among the poor, the homeless, the brokenhearted, or the downtrodden. Ramona never missed an opportunity to help others who might have given up on life. Nothing was ever too big for God, and nothing was ever hopeless.
The love in Ramona’s heart for others was unconditional and endless, but no one was more important to her than her grandchildren. “Meme” loved them dearly and was so proud of each one of them and their accomplishments.
She was predeceased by her father, Robert L. Humphrey, Sr., and husband, James W. Jordan, Jr.
She is survived by her mother, Donna Crofton Humphrey of Plant City, FL; her husband, William ”Bill” Taylor, of Elba, AL; two sons, Jonathan L. Jordan (Jody) and Joshua J. Jordan (Lauren), both of Plant City, FL; two daughters, Rebecca R. Francis (Matt) of Plant City, FL and Erin M. Norsworthy (Carson) of Slocomb, AL. Ramona was blessed with twelve grandchildren: Joshua, Emily, Mark, Jonathan, Natalee, Sevin, Isaac, Samuel, Lyric, Abigail, Hannah, and Daniel.
