Helen G. Geiger

Mrs. Helen G. Geiger of Hartford passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022 at her home. She was 98. 

The family will hold a private service for Mrs. Geiger. 

Graveside services will be held in Akron, Ohio at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Wiregrass Children’s Home, PO Box 6813, Dothan, AL 36302 or SARCOA, 1075 South Brannon Stand Road, Dothan, AL 36305 in memory of Mrs. Geiger. 

Mrs. Geiger was born November 3, 1923 in Akron, Summit County, Ohio to the late Harold and Eva Gardiner Brittain. Helen Brittain first met Donald Geiger in Akron, Ohio. Following their marriage in 1943, they spent 77 happy years and had six children. Helen was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church in Slocomb, AL. She loved singing in the choir at church and sharing Jesus with others.

 In addition to her parents, her husband, Donald A. Geiger, and sister, Dorothy Phillips preceded her in death. 

Survivors include daughter, Mary Ann Bush (Doug), Windermere, FL; five sons: David Geiger (Stephanie), Dothan, Larry Geiger preceded Helen in death, (Cathy), San Diego, CA, Jim Geiger (Char), Wichita, KS, Dan Geiger (Cindy), Hartford, and Tom Geiger (Cathy), Dothan; 19 Grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. Other extended family and friends.
