Dewey Lee Rykard (U.S. Air Force Ret MSGT) of Enterprise, AL went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Medical Center Enterprise. He was 84.
Graveside funeral services with full military honors will be held at 11am on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Valdosta, GA. Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb, Alabama will be directing.
Mr. Rykard was born on October 20, 1937 in Valdosta, Ga to the late George E. and Annie Nora Colson Rykard. Following his graduation from Valdosta High School in 1958, he joined the U. S. Air Force in which he served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a loving and caring husband, father and brother who will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Marilyn Guest Rykard, Enterprise, AL, daughters, Stephanie L. McMillan (Robert) and Le Anne Rykard, Son: Dewey L. Rykard II (Cindy), grandchildren: Magen D Leget (fiancé Dallas Melton) and Donald G. Leget II, his sister: Jeanette Roberson (her late husband Clyde,) nieces and nephews.
