Mr. Anthony Craig Bass of the Wicksburg Community went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was 59.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 9, 2021 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb, with Rev. Billy Fortune officiating.  Interment will follow in Piney Grove Assembly of God Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday one hour prior to service time.

Mr. Bass was born July 23, 1961 in Raleigh, North Carolina to the late Lilian Marie Thornton and Troy Lavis Bass. Craig grew up in Cary, NC and graduated from Cary High School. He later settled nearby with his family and attended the Garner Church of God. He and his family moved to the Dothan area in 2011 and became members of Piney Grove Assembly of God Church. In life, Craig enjoyed growing flowers, vegetables, feeding hummingbirds and other wild animals. He enjoyed caring for pets and exotic animals. Craig collected antique magazines and newspaper advertisements; he was working to create an online museum that others could use to view the progression of American history from that unique perspective. Closer to his heart, Craig had an active online ministry, through which he shared his walk with God in his own unique personal manner, touching friends and many others across the globe with the amazing power and character of God, as Craig experienced in his own life. Craig Bass was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Amy Bass; children: Anthony Bass, William “Billy” Bass, Kelli Christine Jones, Asa Jones; other extended family and friends.
