Willie Roland Andrews

Mr. Willie Roland Andrews of Slocomb passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at his home. He was 93.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, in the First Baptist Church of Slocomb with Rev. Dan Raley and Rev. Dicky McAllister officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Forever Families Foundation, 1369 West Main St., Dothan, AL 36301 (4everfamilies.org.).

Mr. Andrews was born October 26, 1920 in Daleville, to the late Webb and Ella Glover Andrews. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Slocomb. Mr. Andrews owned and operated Andrews Tire & Recap of Slocomb.

In addition to his parents his wife, Ernestine Searcy Andrews, four sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Gayle Yarbrough, Dothan; one son, David Andrews (Sheila), Fadette; four grandchildren: Wanda Pebbles (Brett), Midland City, Stacie Snell (Kip), Fadette, Lindsey Lee (Jeremy), Dothan, and Brett Andrews, Taylor; four great- grandchildren: Kristin Martin (Brandon), Rehobeth, Kyle Snell, Colombia, Kaleb Snell, Fadette and Ella Blair Lee, Dothan; three great great grandchildren: Anthony, Aiyana, Marleigh Martin, Rehobeth;  several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
