Ted O’Neal Guthrie

Mr. Ted O’Neal Guthrie passed away Friday, May 11, 2018 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.  He was 67.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Rainbow Meadows Baptist Church with Rev. Don Clark officiating.  Mr. Guthrie was born May 8, 1952 in Athens Alabama to the late Franklin and Betty Jewell Hall Guthrie.  Ted enjoyed boiling and selling peanuts at the Midland City Baseball Complex.  He was a loving and adoring father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother who will be dearly missed.  In addition to his parents, one brother, Ronald Guthrie preceded him in death.  Survivors include four daughters: Gloria Diane “Ann” Fennell (Keith), D.J. Whitman (Paul), Angela Miller (Gerald) and Tiffany Vaughn (Michael); step sons: Alan Volf and Kyle Volf; grandchildren: Chasidy Nowell, Lauren Whitman, Neal Whitman, Kaylee Cassady, Jennifer Miller, Caitlyn Volf, Brayden Volf and Addison Volf; great grandchildren: Jordan Fields, Trevin Fields and Kayden Cassady; sister, Virginia Peters (Jimmy); brothers: James Guthrie (Gail) and Frankie Guthrie (Alice); several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
