Sarah Helen Adams

Mrs. Sarah Helen Adams of Slocomb passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at her home. She was 72.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Slocomb with Rev. Wendell Holmes, Rev. Chris Adams, and Rev. Brad Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Fadette Pentecostal Ministries Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Adams was born May 10, 1950 in Graceville, FL to the late Hadley and Mary Windsor Hinson. Sarah graduated Salutatorian from Graceville High School in 1968, was a teacher’s assistant for over 33 years in the Slocomb school system serving as the local AEA representative. She managed the Slocomb Bill’s Dollar Store and enjoyed gardening and working in her yards. Sarah loved dearly, and was loved dearly by her community, especially the children. She was a loving wife, and an adoring mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, husband, Gene Allen Adams and daughter-in-law, Amanda Adams preceded her in death.

Survivors include daughter, Dawn Hatcher (Jason); son, Allen Adams; grandchildren: Breanna Hatcher, Brock Hatcher, and Katie Adams; other extended family and friends.
