Rosarie Means, was born in Cork City, Ireland in 1948, one of 16 children. She grew up in London, from a young age, raising four sons. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was centered around her family and caring for those she loved. On February 10, 2006, she married Joseph D. Means and together they shared 20 years of marriage built on love, companionship, travel, and commitment. Leaving England, they lived in Germany and the United Arab Emirates, eventually buying their dream farm in NW Tennessee, where they enjoyed 8 years together. Due to her Parkinson’s and Dementia, they moved to Dothan, AL, to be closer to family, and better healthcare, where she passed June 4, 2026.

She is preceded in death by 15 of her brother and sisters.

Rose is survived by her husband, Joseph D. Means; her sons: Joseph Means, Steven Thompson, Michael Vernon, Paul Thompson, Gary Thompson; step-daughters: Carolyn Brooke Lossing, Amanda Scott; brother: Ramond O’Donovan and his wife, Vivian; grandchildren: Keleigh Vernon, Lisa Norris, John Vernon, Kimberley Vernon, Liam Thompson, Rinn Page, Lara Thompson, Chloe Thompson, Kelsey Thompson, Brodie Thompson, Jaycob Scott, Noah Scott, Emmily Scott; great grandchildren: Courtney Vernon, Joshua Norris, Isabelle Rose Norris, Myles Norris, Griffin Page, Reggie Page, Skyler Rose Thompson.
