Robert Jefferson Watson

Mr. Robert Jefferson Watson of Newton passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at his home. He was 83.

Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Wicksburg Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Rev. Tim Simmons officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the charity of your choice in honor of Mr. Watson.

Mr. Watson was born June 1, 1937 in Dale County to the late George Luther and Jewell Newsome Watson. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers.

In addition to his parents, sister, Mary Howard preceded him in death.

Survivors include his three brothers: George Watson (Helen), Willie “Pete” Watson (Kathy), and James Watson; cousin, Nathan Stanton; special friends, Don and Donna Smith; nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
