Obituary

It is with heartfelt reverence that we announce the passing of Mrs. Robbie Nell Langford, a beloved member of the Echo Community in Dale County, who peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the age of 81.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held to honor Mrs. Langford’s memory at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Omega Holiness Church. Reverend Jamie Hattaway and Rev. Daniel Vance will officiate the service, with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing the arrangements. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church one hour prior to the service to offer their condolences and share in remembrance.

Mrs. Langford was born on October 26, 1944, in Dale County to the late Robert Zinnamon and Beulah Mae Brackin Smith. Throughout her working years, she was dedicated in her service at Cowikee Mills, Goody Products, and ultimately retired after more than two decades of faithful employment at Walmart.

A woman of deep and abiding faith, Mrs. Langford was a cherished member of Omega Holiness Church for over 47 years, where she faithfully served as Sunday school secretary. Her life was a testament to humble service; she shunned the spotlight, lovingly supporting her family and church with quiet strength and unwavering devotion. Known for her unconditional love, she enriched the lives of all who knew her, consistently exemplifying the teachings of Christ through her daily actions. As a steadfast prayer warrior, she devoted much time to the study of God’s word and led her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—affectionately called her “Dolls”—with grace and love.

Mrs. Langford was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Linda Ann Langford, her great-grandson Emmett Luke Langford, and her brothers Kenneth Gene, Dewey Lee, and Leroy Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children Brenda Gail Langford Windham, and Ricky Langford and his wife Hazel; her grandchildren Jennifer Bridges (Colby), Heather Hutto (Mickey), Candace Jaggars (Joe), and Stephen Langford; great-grandchildren MaddiGrace, Jackson, and Ryleigh Jaggars, Hayden, and Lauren Abigail “LA” Bridges, Manuel Pinacho, and Karter Murphy; her sisters Nellie Smith, Elizabeth Crabb, and Rena Dwight; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Mrs. Langford’s life was a blessing to all who knew her—a serene example of faith, love, and service that will endure in the hearts of her loved ones forever.
