Obituary

Mr. Phil Moseley, aged 58, of Wicksburg, peacefully passed from this life on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Flowers Hospital, after a courageous and steadfast battle with cancer.

A heartfelt Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb, with Reverend Jim Peters officiating. Following the service, Mr. Moseley will be laid to rest at the Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, 3004 County Road 708 Enterprise AL 36330. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather in remembrance on Monday evening, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Born on September 19, 1967, to Jerry Moseley and the late Lela Durden Moseley, Phil dedicated his life to the service of others. A proud graduate of Geneva County High School, class of 1985, he furthered his education at Auburn University and earned a master’s degree from Troy State University at Dothan. For 35 years, Mr. Moseley devoted himself to nurturing young minds as an Agriculture teacher at Wicksburg High School. Beloved by students and esteemed by colleagues, he embraced his role with passion and integrity, actively supporting all student activities and enriching his community through unwavering commitment.

A true Christian at heart, Phil was a loving husband, a devoted father, a cherished son and brother, and a loyal friend. His life is a testament to kindness, dedication, and loyalty that will long endure in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Lela, and his cherished grandparents.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Jennifer Martin Moseley; his sons, Patric and Jack Moseley; his father, Jerry Moseley, and Barbara; his brother Darin Moseley, alongside his wife Lisa; his niece, Abigail Baxley, and her husband Matthew; his parents-in-law, Ted and Brenda Martin; as well as other extended family members and friends who mourn his loss.
