Peggy Hales Tew

Mrs. Peggy Hales Tew of Dothan passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Southeast Health. She was 82.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Fadette Pentecostal Ministries Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

Mrs. Tew was born October 8, 1940 in Hartford to the late W.B. and Nellie Sue McCormick Hales.

In addition to her parents, sisters: Betty Boswell, Virginia Avellino, Margaret Glover and Brenda Ethridge; brothers: Earl Hales, and Jimmie Hales; and great granddaughter, Molly Kathryn Tew all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Jackie L. Tew; children: Terry Tew (Jana), Dothan, Suzanne Davis, Dothan, and Cindy Peel (Mike), Malvern; grandchildren: Daniel Tew(Amanda), Dothan, Laura Oliver (Nick), Dothan, Brittany Christoph (Henry), Charlotte, NC, Tyler Peel (Kaylynn), Malvern, AL, and Cidney Merritt (Chase), Dothan; great grandchildren: Watson Tew, Davis Oliver, Barrett Oliver, Elle Christoph, Anna Chase Merritt, Mary Lynne Merritt, Lucy Christoph, and Kadence Peel; sisters: Helen Hicks, Dothan, and Ann Clemons, Livermore, CA; brothers: Ronald Hales, Hartford, and Charles Hales (Carolyn), Hartford; brother in law, Cleburne Tew, Marianna, FL; many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers: Daniel Tew, Tyler Peel, Nick Oliver, Henry Christoph, Chase Merritt, and Mike Peel.
