Oralia Hernandez “La Gorda” Rivera

Oralia Hernandez “La Gorda” Rivera of Hartford entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 23, 2022.  She was 51.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Father Jose Paillacho officiating.  The Rite of Committal will follow in the Slocomb City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 10:00 until service time.

Oralia was born February 16, 1971 in Brownsville, TX to Hilario and Maria Marta Hernandez.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Oralia Castillo.

Survivors include her children: Judy Jornette Gomez, Juan Carlos Hernandez, and Maggie Marie Gonzalez; grandchildren: Johnathan Luis Chavez, Angel Giovani Gomez, Julie Gomez, Christian Gomez, and Jazmin Gonzalez; and other extended family and friends.
