Olan Brady Skipper

Mr. Olan Brady Skipper of Slocomb, formerly of Columbus, GA passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Wiregrass Hospital. He was 90.

A private service will be held in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Southern Care Hospice, 1253 Rucker Blvd., Suite A, Enterprise, AL 36330.

Mr. Skipper was born January 22, 1930 in Jackson County, FL to the late Merlin and Vallie Mae Skipper. He retired after 35 years of service from Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Selastine Holland Skipper; sister, Nell Kingrey, and brother, Cletis Skipper all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughter, Linda Giovannini, and son, Steven Skipper; grandchildren: Brittany Duncan (Andrew), and Michael Giovannini (Jennifer); great grandchildren: Jacob Thomas, Joshua Duncan, Jonah Duncan, Dominic Giovannini, and Evelyn Giovannini; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Southern Care Hospice, especially caregivers: Zakina Hart, Beth Branch, Ali Walker, Lisa Eller, and Jenny Bell for the love and care they provided during Brady’s illness.
