Myra Nell Jerkins

Mrs. Myra Nell Jerkins of Hartford went home to be with the Lord, January 19, 2019 at Hartford Retirement Village. She was 95.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Jerkins was born March 29, 1923 in Hartford, AL to the late James Connie and Audrey Anderson Dean. She was a member of Hartford Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and served in many other areas.

In lieu of flowers the family request contributions in Mrs. Jerkin’s honor be made to Hartford Baptist Church, 105 East Burch Street, Hartford, AL 36344 or Hartford Retirement Village, 12196 AL-52 Hartford, AL 36344.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Herman Lee Jerkins and her sister, Betty McDonald preceded her in death.

Survivors include son, Ken Jerkins (Gwyn); daughter, Carol Cooper (John); grandchildren: Michael Jerkins (Angela), Jeffrey Jerkins (April), Danny Cooper (Colleen) and Melinda Cooper; great-grandchildren: Noah Jerkins, Jacob Jerkins, Laurel Jerkins, Braiden Jerkins, Trinity Jerkins and Sydney Cooper; other extended family and friends.
