Mary Alice Watson "Sister" Tew

Mrs. Mary Alice Watson “Sister” Tew of Slocomb passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021 at her home after an extended illness. She was 88.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Rev. Lee Chorn officiating. A private interment will follow.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continuing until service time.

In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made to Southern Care Hospice, 300 North Edwards Street, Enterprise, AL 36330 or the charity of your choice in memory of Mrs. Tew.

Mrs. Tew was born June 25, 1932 in Geneva County to the late C.W. and Nettie Jones Watson.

In addition to her parents, her husband of 52 years, Tem T. Tew all preceded her in death.

Survivors include three daughters: Nelda Whitehead, Tammy Price both of Slocomb, and Charlotte Daughtry (Mickey), Dothan; four sons: Kenneth Tew, Greg Tew, Randall Tew (Benita) all of Slocomb, and Jeremy Tew, Hartford; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren;    brother, Billy Watson (Reba), Kentucky; other extended family and friends.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Southern Care Hospice for their loving care for Mrs. Tew, and special aide, “Z”.
