Mary Catherine Singletary

Mrs. Mary Catherine Singletary of Slocomb went home to be with the Lord Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Signature Heath Care of North Florida in Graceville.  She was 91.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at New Teamon Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Chorn and Rev. Wendell Holmes officiating.  Interment will follow in the Slocomb City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Singletary was born November 23, 1930 in Geneva County to the late Willie Pitt and Frances Florine Sorrells Metcalf.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Billy G. Singletary; an infant son & daughter; sister, Willie Dell Savell; and brother, James Sorrells Metcalf all preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary J. Long; grandson, Jarrod Blane Pippins; sisters: Nellie Earl Williams, Hattie Janette Jackola, Patsy Ann Metcalf, and Martha Frances Cox (Robert E.); several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
