Mary Dansby Lee

Mrs. Mary Dansby Lee of Malvern passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was 80.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb.  Interment will follow in the Fadette Pentecostal Ministries Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Lee was born November 1, 1941 in Barbour County to the late Odis and Mildred Anderson Dansby.  Mary was employed with the Geneva County Department of Public Health as a caretaker and enjoyed caring for others. She loved her family and always cherished time spent with her grandchildren!

In addition to her parents, her loving husband of 63 years, Joe Earl Lee; and one brother, Jerry Dansby, all preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters: Becky Blackburn and Wanda Jo Lee both of Malvern; grandchildren: Wendy Boutwell (Wayne), Dustin Lee (Jessica), and Shelby Blackburn (Jordan); great-grandchildren: Alexa Paulson (Bryce), Marigrace Boutwell, Charlianna Boutwell, DJ Lee, Lyndsey Lee, Taylor Lee, and Henry Blackburn; siblings: Johnny Dansby (Beth), Ray Dansby, Larry Dansby (Dianne), Diner Trousdale (Rhett), Linda Holland (Freddy), and Glenda Merritt; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
