Kay Frances (Sissy) Brannon passed away March 22, 2017, at the age of 76 at Crown Health Care of Greenville, Alabama. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. at Hartford City Cemetery with Rev. Andy Gartman officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing. At an early age Sissy was diagnosed with a heart valve problem and had one of the earliest open heart surgeries in the nation. Until 4th grade, she attended Geneva County Elementary School. Quoting family historian Cosette Myers, “Sissy was a beautiful child and had a great love for everyone.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Geraldine Brannon. She is survived by brothers, Gerald (Susan) Brannon and Steve (Starla) Brannon, and five nieces and nephews. The family expresses appreciation to Crown Health Care of the excellent care given to Sissy.
