Juliues E. Jones

Mr. Juliues E. Jones of Slocomb passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Noland Hospital. He was 76.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Minister Jim Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Memory Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Jones was born January 2, 1943 in Graceville, FL to the late James Leon Jones Sr. and Lena B. Holland Jones. Juliues proudly served in the U.S. Army. After he retired as fireman with City of Dothan, he enjoyed carpentry work. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Hartford.

In addition to his parents, three sisters: Gladys Davis, Jean Smith and Martha Owens; two brothers: John Ed Jones and James Leon Jones Jr.; three infants (two brothers and a sister) all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Jo Jones, Slocomb; son, Kevin E. Jones (Tina), Fadette; one grandson, Brandon E. Jones and numerous step-grandchildren; three sisters: Lillie B. Carmichael, Esto, FL, Christine Butler, Hartford and Emmalene Welch, Hartford; one brother, Kenneth Wayne Jones, Fadette; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
