Judy Faye Palmore

Mrs. Judy Faye Palmore of Slocomb went home to be with the Lord Friday, January 5, 2018 at Noland Hospital SAMC. She was 74.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb with Rev. Glen Tate and Rev. Phil Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time.  Mrs. Palmore was born August 22, 1943 in Holmes County to the late Obed and Rachel Judah Spann. Judy was a dedicated member of First Assembly of God Church in Hartford. She loved the Lord and lived her life as a Christian woman. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.  In addition to her parents, her husband, Huey Palmore, her son, James Earl Palmore and her brother, Wayne Spann all preceded her in death.  Survivors include two daughters: Teresa Kelley (Jay) and Christinia Varner (Kevin); daughter-in-law, Gloria Hobbs (Nicky); 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Sonya Wolfe, Bradenton, FL ; one brother, Mike Spann, Columbus, Ohio; nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
