Mr. John Daniel Trant of Daleville passed away Tuesday, January14, 2014 at UAB Hospital. He was 79.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January17 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Norris officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
Mr. Trant was born on May 29, 1934 in Holmes County, FL to the late Franklin Trant and Olga Powell Johnson.
Survivors include his daughter, Wendy Rocha, Daleville; son, William Trant (Kimberly), Slocomb; four grandchildren: Travis Trant, Bradley Ward, Tara Trant and Trista Simmons; two great grandchildren: Austin Bolan and Olivia Summerlin.
