John R. Baumgardner

Mr. John Baumgardner of Fadette passed away Tuesday, November 22 at Extendicare. He was 84.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel in Slocomb with Rev. Jason Kirk and Rev. Brian Klobe officiating. Burial will follow in the New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time.

Mr. Baumgardner was born October 12, 1932 in Akron, Ohio to the late Homer L. and Susie Sholley Baumgardner. John was a member of New Hinson Baptist Church in Slocomb.

Survivors include his wife, Loudine Baumgardner; one daughter, Rebecca Henderson;  two sons: Rick Baumgardner (Dianne) and Robert Baumgardner (Penny); one granddaughter, Amber Armstrong (Rob); two grandsons: Rusty Baumgardner (Amy) and Nathan Baumgardner; one step-grandson, Matt Church; four great-grandchildren: Andrew and Alexis Baumgardner, Kurt and Kase Armstrong; one brother, Homer L. Baumgardner Jr.; other extended family and friends.
