Joey Paul Flournoy

Mr. Joey Paul Flournoy of Fadette passed away Friday, October 18, 2024, at Southeast Health.  He was 68.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Rev. Allen Bundrick officiating.  Interment will follow in the Wrights Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday one hour prior to service time.

Mr. Flournoy was born July 30 1956, in Geneva County to the late Joe Bill and Bobbie Jewell Singletary Flournoy. Paul enjoyed spending time outdoors, watching Nascar and was an avid Alabama football fan. He was a loving and adorning, husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, daughter, Jessie Burchard; grandson, Garrett Burchard; and brother, Glenn Flournoy, all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Sherolyn Flournoy; daughters: Kim Perkins (Don Vincent), Traci Seawell, Wendi Haddan (Jason), and Amber Fulford (Kevin); sons: Billy Flournoy (Stacey), and Shane Powell (Gerlie); thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; sister, Kay Capps (Mark); several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
