Joann Helms Pullum

Mrs. Joann Helms Pullum of Dothan passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at SAMC. She was 73.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pondtown United Methodist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 12:00 p.m. and continuing until service time. The family will all be at 368 Trawick Road.

Mrs. Pullum was born on December 26, 1940 in Hartford to the late James (J.C.) and Taudie B. Strickland Helms.

In addition to her parents, her husband Thomas Wesley Pullum; one sister, Jeanette Sorrells and one great-grandson, Hudson Darnell preceded her in death.

Survivors include; three daughters: Debbie Guest (Richard), Rachel Camp (Paul) and Mary Owen all of Dothan; two sons: Joel Pullum (Brenda), of Taylor and Thomas Pullum, of Malvern; two sisters Juanita Crosby and Betty Enfinger both of Hartford; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
