Mrs. Jetta Hathaway Farmer of Slocomb passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Westside Terrace. She was 80.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2019 in the Slocomb City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

Mrs. Farmer was born September 2, 1938 in Geneva County to the late Leon Talmadge and Opal Dean Hathaway.

In addition to her parents, her husband Charles Edward Farmer preceded her in death.

Survivors include three children and their families: her daughter, Jana Farmer Tew and husband Terry, Dothan, grandson, Daniel K. Tew and his wife, Amanda Spitler Tew and their son, Watson K Tew along with an expected sibling, Dothan, granddaughter, Laura Tew Oliver and her husband Nick and their children, Davis C. Oliver  and Barrett A. Oliver (expecting), Hoover; son, Mark Allen Farmer and his wife, Donna, Dothan, grandson, Travis A. Farmer, Dothan, granddaughter, Taylor Farmer Nelson and her husband, Joe, Atlanta, GA; son Dennis Edward Farmer and his wife, Elise, Darien, GA, grandson, M. Patrick Farmer and his wife Katherine Ware Farmer and their daughter, Payton K. Farmer, Birmingham; grandson William M. Farmer, Birmingham; step grandson, Dr. Alan D. Tucker Jr. and his wife, Carmela Tucker and their children, Eliana and David, Brunswick, GA, step grandson, Joseph Hannah, Sedona, AZ.; brother, Jimmy Dean Hathaway and wife Carol, Black; sister-in-law, Edna Farmer Morrison and her husband, James, Dothan; numerous nieces nephews and cousins.
