Janice Marie Wright Register

Mrs. Janice Marie Wright Register of Fadette went home to be with her LORD Friday, February 2, 2018 at SAMC.  She was 74.  Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2018 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb with Rev. Bryan Klobe officiating.  Interment will follow in the New Hinson Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until service time.  Mrs. Register was born February 19, 1943 in Geneva County to the late Simon and Bessie Pippin Wright. Janice enjoyed tending her vegetable garden and working in her yards.  Like most true southern women, she loved to cook and bake and was an avid Alabama football fan.  She loved her family and will be dearly missed.  In addition to her parents, her husband,  James Wilmer Register; sisters: Lois Haddan and Monette Etheridge; and brother, Solomon Wright all preceded her in death.  Survivors include three sons:  Troy Register (Robin), Kevin Register, Wesley Register (Beth); five grandchildren:  Reece Register, Hannah and Dalton Register, Ally and Jackson Register; two great grandchildren: Julia Oliver and Harper Register; sisters: Vencie Wright, Elaine Kelly and Martha Boyett; brothers: Edward Wright and Buck Wright (Eva); special brother-in-law, Billy Haddan; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
