Janice “Yvonne” Kirksey

Mrs. Janice “Yvonne” Kirksey of Dothan, formerly of Baker County Georgia, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022.  She was 76.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Harvest Church, 2727 Fortner Street, Dothan, AL 36305 with Pastor Larry Anderson and Pastor Keith Frith officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Church in Baker County, GA with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time.

Mrs. Kirksey was born January 6, 1946 in Baker County, GA to the late Leon Alton and Grace Smith Parr. Yvonne was a great woman of faith and member of Harvest Church.

In addition to her parents, her husband of 56 years, David Kirksey; siblings: Mae Wiliford, Juanita Hurst, and Samuel Parr, all preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Rovonda M. Kirksey; two sons: David A. Kirksey (Vicky) and Brian K. Kirksey; grandchildren: Brandy and Allen Elliott, Jayme and Amy Evans, Heather and Matthew Vanmoer, Sara Evans, Brad and Jenna Kirksey and Nicholas Young; great grandchildren: Xavior, LoreLai, Nathaniel, Samantha, Micah, Adalenna, Trevor, Finley, Joseph, Damian, Finley, Joseph, and Colton; siblings: Myrtice Daniels (Stanley), Glenn Parr (Lavetra), and Linda Bradshaw (Teddy); several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
