Janet Kay Zorn Tew

Mrs. Janet Kay Zorn Tew of Slocomb passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the age of 62.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb, with Rev. Jackson White and Rev. David Zorn officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.

Mrs. Tew was born on May 4, 1963, in Covington County to the late David Monroe Zorn and Dolores May Mills Zorn. Janet was known for her warm and caring spirit—she was truly a people person, and anyone who knew her loved her. She was a devoted follower of Christ and a member of the Baptist faith.

Janet was employed with Dothan Leisure Services, where she found great fulfillment in her passion for caring for senior citizens. Her compassion and dedication touched the lives of many in her community.

She is survived by her special friend, Johnny Carter; her daughter, Cricket Renee Anderson; her beloved grandchildren, Kodie Anderson, Brodie Anderson, Brantley Anderson, Micah Anderson, and Kayson Anderson; two great-grandchildren; her brother, David Zorn (Phyllis); as well as nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family members and dear friends.

Janet will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
