James Alfred House Jr., 51, of Slocomb, AL, passed away August 8, 2026, in Cabell-Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV, following a sudden illness.

He was born December 20, 1974, in Dothan, AL, James A. House Sr. and Betty Ann (Johnson) House of Slocomb, AL.

James was a family man and loved his family very much. He was a Correctional Officer for Holmes County Prison in Florida.

James was preceded in death by his father James A. House, Sr. and sister, Wendy Ann

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Hope Ann House, his daughters Aarona House of Slocomb, AL, Amanda Woodham (Charles) of Dothan; Son, Joseph Scott (Chelsea) of Goodman, AL; sisters, Kim House Gallardo, of Slocomb, AL and Jamie Savet (Brandon) of VA. Brothers, David Farmer (Janice) of Kinsey AL, and Christopher House, of Slocomb AL; several grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
