James Patrick Davidson, Sr.

Mr. James Patrick Davidson Sr. of Slocomb passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024. He was 62.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Rev. Hosea Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Malvern Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time.

Mr. Davidson was born May 25, 1962 in Greenville, SC to Charles Davidson Jr. and Patricia Ann McCoy Davidson. James was the kindest and most caring person you would ever meet. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and son who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Jean Davidson; father, Charles Davidson, Jr.; brother, Rick Davidson; two special nephews: Brandon Davidson, and Matthew Davidson; special niece, Amy Davidson.

Survivors include sons: James Patrick Davidson Jr. (Karen), Blakely Warfield, and Jared Davidson; grandchildren: Harley Elizabeth Davidson, James Page Davidson, and Kaeli Blu Davidson; mother, Patricia Davidson; sisters: Deborah Gavin (Tom), and Rhonda Davidson (Terry); his K-9 companion, Ace; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
